Publication of The Vocation Office of the Apostles of the Sacred Heart of Jesus                                                            March 2005

About the Logo on the Masthead:

The logo featuring heart, cross, boat, and dove was introduced for the Apostles’ 15th General Chapter in July, 2004. It takes its inspiration from the congregational seal:

“The open heart is both the compelling force which impels us toward mission: “Caritas Christi urget nos!” as well as the place where every person and nation can find refuge, mercy and peace.

The cross expresses the mystery of Christian life and the following of Jesus. It is a sign of victory and salvation, the only weapon that the Apostle carries with her into the world in order to be a credible witness of Christ's love and saving mission.

The boat is the Church which sends the Apostle into the world to proclaim the Kingdom of God.

The dove is the Apostle who, freed from all earthly bonds, sets out from the Heart of Christ to bring the Love of his divine Heart to the ends of the earth.”
